From Lancaster, NY, Ben Closson is a skilled catcher and dedicated coach at Hot Corner Athletics. His playing career took him to SUNY Cortland, Houghton University, and Penn State University – Harrisburg, where he showcased his talent and earned a reputation for excellence.

Ben has coached as Head Varsity Coach for one year, Assistant Varsity Coach for two years, and Assistant Summer Collegiate League Coach for two years, bringing his deep knowledge and passion to developing players.

His accolades include ACBA/Rawlings All-Region Team, Empire 8 1st Team All-Conference, and Outer Banks Daredevils Single Season RBI Leader. Ben won the 2018 Tidewater Collegiate Summer League Championship and earned two NCCAA All-America Scholar Athlete awards, NEAC Scholar Athlete honors, and a spot on the Empire 8 President’s List. He also secured two AAABA Buffalo League Championships with Royal Printing, two Section 6 Class AA Championships, and two All-ECIC Team honors with Lancaster High School. In 2016, Ben was ranked a Top 10 HS Catching Prospect by PBR New York and was a runner-up at the 2015 New York State Games with Team Niagara/Erie.
